Mexico's ancient inhabitants have left a legacy that continues to contribute to the art and culture as well as the idiosyncrasy of Mexican people; however, Mexico’s history formally begins with the arrival of the Spaniards to the Mayan land in which is know as the Conquest. 
 

Since then, a great deal of important matters have been misunderstood producing, as a result, plenty of assertions that lack of a historical basis. It is important then, to analyze in a formal, serious and non-passionate way, the different and key events that shaped Mexicans national and cultural identities.
